Where to drop your ballot

Type your address, or use your location. You get the closest box, whether it's open right now, and a button that takes you there.

    Don't put it in the mail

    The Clerk has to be holding your ballot by 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3. A postmark doesn't count. This close to the day, a drop box is the only sure thing, and it takes about thirty seconds.

    • No stamp. Drop boxes and vote centers are free.
    • Any box in Denver. You don't have to use the one nearest your house.
    • Sign the envelope. Forget, and the Clerk mails you a fix-it letter. You have until November 11 to cure it.
    • Lost it? Any vote center prints you a new one. Bring ID.
    • In line by 7 p.m.? You still vote, however long the line.

    Three ways to hand it in

    49 boxes The 24-hour drop box

    Any hour, any day, until 7 p.m. Nov. 3. Steel boxes outside rec centers, libraries, and rail stations. Watched around the clock. Pull up, drop it, done.

    39 centers The vote center

    For anything a box can't do. Lost your ballot, never got one, moved, or not registered yet? Walk in. You can register and vote the same day, through Election Day. Accessible voting machines at every one.

    6 stops The Voter Coach

    The Clerk's van, parked where people already are. A vote center on wheels: register, get a replacement, or vote in person, at a different corner every few days. The last stop is Emily Griffith on Lincoln through Election Day.
